Some people tend to leave a "Best viewed with..." button inside their pages, not with bad intent but instead they just want to simply let you know; you get the best view of it with that browser or device. To me, this sounds a bit segregative since this person is leaving out other users who also wanna see the best of the website, sometimes people can't meet certain requirements. There are others who also wanna see the best of their website without having to be set a little to the side, especially for text browser users who deserve a bit more recognition, it's a reason why I left a best viewable with any browser despite some broken CSS layouts in Chrome for example (Lucky for w3m/Lynx/etc. users sometimes can't notice)... And also the seggregation towards mobile users, which some have a browser feature for desktop view available so it's not always a tiny screen. If the message gets through right, then it's fine. Now I'm not antagonizing or telling you to hate on people like this, remember I am giving out my opinion.
In my website's case, I think it looks pretty alright and gets what every section or article is supposed to mean nicely. It isn't perfect at all, and personally it sits between a balance with simplicity and creativity. Both in content and design. Coming from my own advice, I would reconsider inserting one of these buttons if equality for all users stumbling upon your page is one of your things, and instead I would add a bit of correctness to my site instead of unintentionally/indirectly leaving others aside. That would keep your loyalty with what you assured.
