Microslop fumbled up again, explained by this insane articleb
Did the title catch your attention? Are you ready to read what Microslop fucked up in these last days? If that's what you came here for, adjust your glasses and adhere your face to the following screen and text:
Just imagine a fictional world where you're a Windows user on the street who prefers using an independent day to day browser, then you immediately hear a sound from an alley, and for some reason you decide to walk through that alleyway and find yourself with the local dealer (who's obviously not Microslop).
He says:
"Come here, listen. I offer you my supreme search engine and excellent AI way better than every other one out there, plus your data, forced control of your very own choices, and in exchange you get my points and maybe get a reward... What do you think?"
I would not accept if I were you... Microslop is using a psychological trap which tempts you into falling into their schemes just to win money by people making use of their corporate dumpster trash. And way more forcing, especially when it comes to their heavy AI features and questionably RAM eating weather widget (if you're a Windows person, yes, the weather widget eats somewhere around 1GB). Firefox has pointed out this issue way more sooner, directly facing Microsoft about implementing this adware-ish type money greedy extension into their addon store, the same happened to Brave. At this point, Macroslop keeps ruining their image and doubling down everyday, and they're not helping themselves.
Now, sure, you can uninstall this. But some of the configuration behind that extension will not disable some of the stuff it enabled (Like ads you see, notifications, Bing...). That means once you remove it, you have to manually return everything back to normal. Thanks, Macroslop. For encouraging more people to switch. Heil Linus! Heil Ritchie! Heil GNU!!!
